Rice Bag Set

This set was directly inspired by the vintage Lotus rice bag as well as another rice bag that complimented it. I fell in love with the graphics on these vintage rice bags; the flowers, logo, and the asian writing. This gave me the direction I wanted to go with this set. I went with the asian theme and created a silhouette with that influence. The rice bags didn’t have a lot of color so I added the 50s Hawaiian table cloth to accentuate the floral aspect and pops of red of both rice bag logos.

Vintage Rice Bags

The color way of the first and 3rd rice bag were what i was most attracted too. In the shirt i specifically chose to make sure the words ‘Extra Fancy’ were included since that felt very current in our culture.

Back of Rice Bags

Im very fascinated and love the look of asian writing. Its popular in the tattoo industry as well so I felt as though it would be liked to give this graphic a highlight on the front of the pant.

1950’s Hawaiian Tablecloth

The tablecloth had similar colors and would allow for the rice bags red to pop. I wanted to continue the floral vibe in this set as well as feeling ‘worldly‘.
