The red bolt of guipure lace immediately grabbed my attention. It was a must to create an unusual statement piece. I thought lace pants would be great versatility wise as well as something you don’t see everywhere.
Hand painted swatches inspired by the dead plants.
The painted burlap was inspired by the colors of the dried rose but the burlap coat silhouette was directly inspired by the petals of course.
I was very inspired by the molding dots on the leaves, so I did my best to translate it into fashion.
The colored corset belt I drew was inspired by the pealing bark of the rainbow eucalyptus trees in the Phillipines. Its bark is many different vibrant colors.
The decaying leaf immediately gave me the idea to use an open weave fabric to mimic the leafs pattern. It only got better when I realized burlap would look amazing, and the fact it is made out of plants itself.
