Pink Poppy
My plan with this garment was to allow for ease and of course versatility. This luxurious fuscia pink dupioni silk gives opportunity to feel and look casually high class or can be all dressed up. In our fast paste environment and taking last minute trips, this top is a must have. I simply cut a very long 20” wide piece of bias, folded it in half, and finished all the edges cleanly. Since it is cut on bias, it allows for stretch over the body, giving support where it is needed. The length and width of the piece gives coverage and opportunity to tie in many different ways.
Look 1 &2
This look was my original idea for the bias top. It is a wrap around halter that twists in the back and comes around to the front allowing room for an accent bow.
The second look being very similar to the first was a no brainer. It gave a little extra coverage and put the dramatic accent bow to the back, turning it into a simple square knot.
Look 3
My favorite look! I loved the style of the first halter but wanted to create a unique detailed version. I simply twisted both ends and wrapped them around each other creating a braided look, and ended it behind the kneck with a square knot.
Look 4
Starting behind the back, crossing over the chest and down the shoulders I tied a bow to the waist band we created starting behind the back. This version gives a lot more coverage than the other 3.
